The Yellow Turtle Unveils an Experimental Pan-Asian Gourmet Experience
The Yellow Turtle introduces an imaginative new culinary chapter with an experimental Pan-Asian gourmet experience that brings together the soul of Asia’s iconic street food cultures and refined contemporary dining aesthetics. A unique narrative element to the experience, the menu has been conceptualized around the adventurous journey of The Yellow Turtle mascot – Turtle, symbolizing a flavourful voyage across Asia after five years. Inspired by comforting South-East Asian bowls and street-style favourites, the restaurant reimagines these iconic dishes with its own signature twist — blending nostalgia, innovation, and contemporary culinary craftsmanship into every plate. Drawing inspiration from the bustling food alleys of Bangkok, the dimsum houses of Guangzhou, the robata grills of Tokyo, the wok-fired kitchens of Jakarta, and the vibrant bao stalls of Taiwan, the newly curated menu transforms authentic Asian inspirations into elevated signature creations through bold flavours, artistic plating, and immersive presentation styles.
At the centre of this inventive menu is the restaurant’s signature creation — the Charcoal Cheese Dimsum in Thai Green Curry, an extraordinary fusion of Cantonese dimsum craftsmanship and the aromatic depth of Central Thai curry culture. Delicate charcoal-infused dim sums filled with molten cheese and exotic vegetables are paired with a luxurious Thai green curry slow-simmered using fresh basil, kaffir lime, lemongrass, and coconut milk. The smoky softness of the dimsums melts seamlessly into the herbaceous curry, creating layers of creamy, spicy, and fragrant flavours.

Another standout creation is the Kushiyaki Grills Selection, available in mushroom, tofu, chicken, and pork variants, inspired by the lively robata grills and yakitori alleys of Tokyo. Flame-kissed over open charcoal grills and repeatedly glazed with house-made teriyaki or spicy hoisin-miso lacquer, these skewers develop deep caramelised edges and rich smoky umami flavours. The theatrical presentation on a wooden platter with jasmine rice, house salad, and live charcoal fire further enhances the immersive dining experience.
