Zero-tolerance against terrorism, any anti-India activities will be thwarted: Home Minister
In a decisive move, any individual or organisation involved in anti-India activities will be promptly thwarted, announced Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Central Home Minister Amit Shah, India is actively working towards building a terrorism-free nation. The successful collaboration of Modi and Shah led to the abrogation of Article 370, making Jammu and Kashmir an integral part of India. Their vision of a unified India with one constitution, one symbol, and one leader became a reality.
However, amidst these achievements, certain groups persist in activities aimed at separating Jammu and Kashmir from India and establishing Islamic rule. ‘Tehreek-e-Hurriyat’ has been declared a terrorist organisation by the Home Ministry on December 31, 2023. ‘Tehreek-e-Hurriyat’ has been declared an ‘Unlawful Association’ under UAPA. This organisation was involved in spreading anti-India propaganda along with terrorist activities to promote separatism in Jammu and Kashmir. The outfit was attempting to establish Islamic rule and was involved in terrorist activities.
Amit Shah’s proactive measures against ‘Tehreek-e-Hurriyat’ come shortly after the recent ban on another organisation in the valley. The Muslim League Jammu Kashmir (Masarrat Alam Group) was declared a banned terrorist organisation. The leader of this group, Masarrat Alam Bhat, propagated an anti-India agenda with support from Pakistan, promoting terrorist activities in the valley.
Recognised as a stalwart leader and strategist in Indian politics, Amit Shah, maintains a clear stance that individuals or organisations participating in anti-India activities will face immediate consequences. Over the past nine years, continuous actions have been taken against separatist organisations in Jammu and Kashmir to eradicate terrorism from the region.
In the current scenario, 43 organisations in the country have been declared as terrorist organisations, including Khalistani groups, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, LeT, and Al-Qaeda. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership and Home Minister Amit Shah’s commitment to inclusive politics, the nation stands secure today, free from the threats of terrorism.
